After breakfast, your professional guide from Shiloh Safari will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park for about 2 to 3 hours. The Park has the highest density of elephants and you can view these animals all year round.
The Tarangire River is the main feature of the park and from this river is where the park got its name, the river has water all year round and during the dry season from July to October, saving the life of a variety of wildlife from thirst.
During the game drive, you may see wildlife such as Lions, Giraffes, Buffaloes, wildebeests, and zebras, as well as different types of antelopes and gazelles. During the dry season, you may also spot over 500 different bird species just to mention a few including Ashy starlings, red and yellow barbets, red-bellied parrot, and speckle-fronted weaver. Around lunchtime, you will stop at a suitable picnic site for a lunch break before proceeding with an afternoon game drive. Then after the game drives your guide will drive you back to a lodge in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
