Shiloh Safari has designed this 6-day luxurious Safari program to provide you with unforgettable experiences to take home and keep in mind. 

Starting from Arusha, the main starting point for safaris in Northern Tanzania, the program will take you to Tarangire National Park, which is teeming with exceptional wildlife, then to Serengeti National Park, a popular tourist destination and one of the richest wildlife reserves, and finally to one of the world’s natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater, also known as “home to the big five.”

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

A professional Safari guide from Shiloh Safari will pick you up from the Kilimanjaro International Airport. From here, you will be driven to a hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight. Enjoy a restful night before beginning your luxurious safari a few hours later.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your luxurious Safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park after a luscious breakfast. Enjoy en-route attractions along the way to this scenic park. Once arrived, begin your game drive across the stunning savannah lands that surround the Tarangire River. This spectacular park contains the largest population of elephants as well as other animals, including buffaloes, lions, kudu, oryx, gnus, zebras, and gazelles. After a short game drive, you will stop for a picnic lunch and may spot a lone male lion stretched out beneath a tree or a cheetah.

The contribution of small animals is of paramount importance in Tarangire National Park and cannot be ignored by any means. It is so easy to be enthralled by the power of big mammals such as elephants and giraffes, but getting experience of other small animals such as agama lizards and hyraxes will add more value to your tour. 

The park is also known for its majestic baobab trees, rolling savannah, and acacia woodland. After an immeasurable game drive, you will leave the park to make your way to the most pleasing areas near the Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

We will always leave you with wonderful memories! Enjoy an early breakfast and set off for your next destination, the Serengeti National Park. There are surely not many stunning places on the planet to see such a variety of wildlife as in the Serengeti. You’ll get the most breath-taking scenery and spot many animals choosing to make their home over the impressive endless plains. Your enthusiastic driver guide will be delighted to share with you the beauty of this incredible place, including its flora and fauna.

With hundreds of predators and their uncountable prey, you can expect a lot of fascinating events to happen amongst the wildlife congregation. The Serengeti has the most beautiful designated picnic areas where you will enjoy your lunch before proceeding with the game drive. 

After lunch, prepare for an afternoon game drive where you may see lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, and antelopes. Take some memorable photos and take a deep breath to enjoy nature. After the game drive, you will be taken to a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Spending a night in the Serengeti is an amazing adventure. The stunning views and impressive sounds of wild animals and birds are all around you. After breakfast, you begin the day with a game drive in the central area of the Serengeti, but those who have booked a hot air balloon Safari will be picked up from the lodge very early in the morning for a balloon safari before proceeding with the morning game drive. Marveling at the beautiful scenery of endless plains and enjoying the enthralling knowledge about wildlife from your Shilo professional Safari guide.

The area hosts the Seronera River which is providing water for many animal species that are dwelling here. Lions prefer to stay and hide in Kopjes as well as snakes and hyraxes. Your picnic Lunch in the middle of the Serengeti endless plains will be an unforgettable experience. After lunch takes a short break and then proceeds to search for wildlife in this scenic park. 

You may find Buffalo, Impala, herds of elephants, Cheetah, and Leopards at any time during the game drives. If you are lucky you may spot the magnificent sight of the world’s heaviest bird capable of flying, the Kori Bustard. After the game drive, your guide will take you back to a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Let the experience be with you! Enjoy an early breakfast, then drive to the world’s Natural wonder the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend to over 600m crater formed as a result of volcanic eruption millions of years ago. Keep your eyes peeled while descending and observe the view of Lerai Forest, the forest landscape with tropical characteristics. Around afternoon enjoy your picnic lunch at the crater flow with some possibility of seeing Lions roaming in Savannah grasses.

The crater hosts some resident wildlife such as Lions, gnu, Zebra, Hyenas, rare remaining black Rhino, and wildebeest. These animals are benefiting from the many water sources available year-round. Other animals such as Buffalo, Serval, Jackal, Thomson’s gazelle, and eland are also likely to be found. Flamingos and other birds can often be seen

After all of the good times, your guide will take you to a lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Karatu to Arusha (Departure)

Today is an excellent day to say goodbye to Africa, after all the wonderful memories it has provided you. We expect to see you again soon because we have treasured service providers, exceptional services, and unforgettable Tanzania attractions. 

After breakfast, drive to Arusha City, but along the way, there are a variety of activities to choose from. When you arrive in Arusha, enjoy your lunch before being escorted to the airport for your departure flight, depending on the schedule.
